Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) — NSCD

Overview

The Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) at NSCD is for students aged between 13 to 16 that have the talent, ambition and passion to pursue dance professionally. The programme is funded through the Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) by the Department for Education; grants are awarded through a means-tested process based on a family's annual income.

Schedule

Students attend three weekly classes during term time (up to 1.5 hours each):

• Monday evening: Ballet Technique
• Wednesday evening: Contemporary Technique
• Saturday: Multiple classes in Contemporary Technique, Creative/Choreography, and Complementary Studies

Plus intensive weeks during Easter and Summer holidays.

Students aged 13–16 with the talent, ambition and passion to pursue dance professionally.
