Dance Italia offers a premier contemporary dance training program in Lucca, Italy, combining rigorous technique classes with creative processes and performance opportunities. Celebrating its 15th year, the program provides advanced students and professional dancers with immersive 3- or 4-week intensives focused on technique, repertory, creative process, and performance. Set within Tuscany’s rich cultural landscape, Dance Italia combines world-class instruction with a vibrant international community, making it one of the most distinctive summer dance intensives in Italy.

Scholarships: Partial scholarships are available for dancers attending at least 3 weeks of the Advanced Training Program. Applicants must submit a signed and dated current income tax return, a short resume or bio highlighting at least three years of dance experience, one professional letter of recommendation, and a paragraph about their interest in the program and what they hope to gain from it.
Requirements: Applicants should submit an online application, an audition video (1-2 minutes) showcasing strong technical work, center phrase work, traveling movement, and a short improvisation. Participants must have full, comprehensive, up-to-date medical insurance coverage for the duration of the program, including travel to and from Dance Italia.
