Programs - Dancehouse

The Trans-Tasman Dance Exchange is a three-year partnership (2025–2027) between Dancehouse in Melbourne, Australia, and Wellesley Studios in Auckland, New Zealand, supported by Creative New Zealand. This initiative aims to connect independent dance artists and communities across the Tasman Sea. Each year, the program offers residency opportunities for artists from both countries, fostering creative relationships and collaborations. The 2026 residencies feature Australian artist Deanne Butterworth at Wellesley Studios and New Zealand artist Rosamund Philpott at Dancehouse, with both artists hosting sharings and community engagement events during their residencies.
