Yokohama Dance Collection — 32nd Competition (Open Call)

Overview

One of Asia's leading international choreography competitions/platforms, presenting new contemporary dance and awarding residencies and festival opportunities. (Applications opened 3 June 2026.)

What's provided

• Presentation in the competition at the Yokohama festival
• Prizes: ¥400,000 Jury Prize, French Embassy Prize (France residency), MASDANZA (Canary Islands) participation, Architanz studio support, Toyohashi PLAT residency

Eligibility

Professional category: choreographers with public-performance experience (work 10–20 min). Under-25 category: Japan residents 25 or younger (work up to 10 min).

Deadline

Tuesday 30 June 2026 (preliminary judging early Sept 2026; final & awards 31 Jan 2027).
